作者簡介： 雷蒙·布力格一九三四年出生于英國倫敦，十五歲時非常喜愛畫漫畫，進入維因布魯頓美術學校時專心于插畫的學習，老師們認為他是一個靠著腦力畫出具有想象又有真實性畫面的圖。畢業之后，他先是參與插畫的工作，經過二、三年后才積極的走入兒童圖畫書的世界。
如果要在英國兒童文學界，推出一名最具影響力的人，那么，這個頭銜非雷蒙·布力格莫屬了。布力格擅長將很嚴肅的主題，用純熟、有力又充滿同情心的方式表達出來。他的畫精確美麗，長于用顏色來營造氣氛、抒發感情。在1965、1967和1974三年，他的作品都榮獲英國兒童文學的最高榮譽——凱特·格林爾威獎（Kate Greenaway），《雪人》在1979年得到波士頓環球號角圖畫書獎。
